I learned several new methods and techniques to reduce my pain including stretching, exercises that strengthen the muscles around my injury, deep breathing during pain flares or to relax, and other relaxation techniques. I also learned how important it is to pace! I learned it is okay to need and to ask for help. In addition, I learned many facts about medication – that more can cause pain and how many drugs inter-react with each other. I have eliminated 2 and cut down on 1!
